Tibetans in Exile >
The Tibetans in Exile programme was established to help Tibetans in India and Nepal. An eager student at school. Since its inception in 1985 it has helped a large number of the population in exile, from young to old, monks, nuns, doctors, teachers, students and children.

Aid to Tibet >
Aid to Tibet is Tibet Foundation's programme that directly helps Tibetans in their homelands. With ethnic Tibetan staff, and no middle-men, we are able to directly reach some of the remotest and most needy people in Tibet.

Buddhism in Mongolia >
Tibet Foundation's Buddhism in Mongolia programme was established in 1993 with the aim to assist Mongolians in their revival of Buddhism. The Central Asian regions of Tibet and Mongolia have a long common cultural and religious heritage that dates back to when the Mongolian Khans dominated much of Asia.

Art & Culture >
Tibet Foundation organises the most comprehensive and varied programme of Tibetan Cultural events in the UK.

Call of the Snow Lion
A documentary series revealing a history of the unsettled Tibetan Diaspora
Now available on DVD from Tibet Foundation
In 1949, the Chinese People's Liberation Army marched into the Kham region of east Tibet creating unprecedented upheaval which, in 1959, resulted in thousands of Tibetans moving into exile in India, Nepal and beyond.Sixty years later in 2010, we looked back into the reality of the history of the unsettled Tibetan Diaspora, their expectations, hopes and vision for the future. From 13th November 2010, we were on a journey across India with a chosen witness of the past and present events – born in Tibet, he has been a monk, a freedom fighter, a diplomat, The Dalai Lama’s representative and a member of parliament before founding a unique charity that has successfully been working for the past 25 years both inside Tibet and in exile.Beyond what we heard and what we were told, we looked into the daily life of individuals – young and old, monks and nuns, students and teachers, artists and musicians, ordinary people and officials, and many others including professionals writers and filmmakers.Through this film we could get a glimpse of this thrilling and mysterious community and uncover the complexity between tantric Buddhism and modern life, theocracy and democracy, and resignation and determination. On every 4th or 5th day of the journey, we broadcasted on the Internet the footage of what we have seen. Now Call of the Snow Lion - Documentary series – 8 X 13 minutes is available on a double DVD PAL priced at £14.50 plus £2.50 for post and packing. Send your orders to Tibet Foundation.
