Third Medical Training Course in Yushu

After the devastating earthquake, the Yushu Tibetan Hospital requested Tibet Foundation for funding for further training and upgrading of the medical knowledge of some 450 existing Tibetan doctors and health workers recognised by the government in the Yushu Prefecture.

As a part of this ongoing educational programme the Foundation has funded and successfully completed two such medical training courses for 51 doctors and health workers in 2011 and another 30 female doctors and health workers in 2012.

The third course for a further 30 doctors and health workers will take place this summer (2013). The total cost is £20,881, which includes medical equipment, health instruction books, etc. We are appealing for funds of any amount, small or large, towards this project.

To fully sponsor one trainee costs just £696.

If you would like to sponsor a trainee via a monthly payment, or just make a smaller donation toward the training costs, please contact the Tibet Foundation office.

Price: £ 696.00
