In March 2018 Tibet Foundation sent £4,397 (Rs 373,715) to the Central Tibetan Relief Committee in Dharamsala for Gapa Tibetan Settlement in Kamrao to build retaining walls and solar street lights for the safety and security of it residents many of whom are elderly with no regular income. The settlement was established in 1967, and is located in Kamrao, a remote area in Himachal Pradesh, north India.
